This is the biggest release in Mexty's history. We didn't patch the old platform — we rebuilt it from scratch. A new chat-first creation experience, a new multi-agent engine underneath, and a dozen brand-new product areas that turn Mexty from a content tool into a complete AI-native learning platform.
The Block Editor and the Course Editor — the two tools you spend the most time in — have been rethought and substantially improved. Everything else is new.
Here's what's changed, organized exactly the way the product is: Authoring, LMS, and AI Agents.
TL;DR
🆕 Mexty Chat — a single chat home screen where you describe what you want and an AI agent builds it.
✨ Block Editor, improved — three ways to edit every activity: AI chat, a structured properties form with Ask AI on every field, and a full in-browser code editor.
✨ Course Editor, improved — slide-by-slide authoring with AI slide generation, chapters, 10+ slide types, and SCORM export.
🆕 AI Agents, Connectors & Scheduled Tasks — build your own assistants, give them real tools, and let them run on a schedule.
⚙️ A new multi-agent backend — specialized agents per content type, your choice of model (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Mistral), and a standards-based MCP server so external apps can use Mexty's tools too.
✍️ Authoring — create AI-native learning content
🆕 Mexty Chat — the new creation hub
Mexty Chat is now the home screen and the place where everything starts. Describe what you want in plain language — "a 5-question quiz on workplace safety", "an onboarding course for new sales reps" — and an AI agent builds it, then opens it in the right editor. Keep chatting to refine.
Specialist tabs — aim a request at a specialist (Activities, Course, Evaluations, Learning Paths, Users & Roles, Analytics, Custom Agents, Agent Builder) or leave it on General and let Mexty route it for you.
Guided Prompt — not sure how to phrase it? A short form walks you through audience, topic, format and constraints, then assembles the prompt for you.
Ground every reply in your material — attach files, pick a knowledge base, turn on web search, plug in a connector, or switch the underlying model — all from the input toolbar.
Featured Activities & one-click conversions — start from a ready-made example, or jump straight into PowerPoint → slides, PDF → slides, or Document → podcast.
✨ Interactive Activities & the Block Editor — improved
Your library of self-contained interactive blocks — quizzes, games, branching scenarios, hotspots, timelines — that drop into any course or stand on their own. The Block Editor now gives you three ways to make any change, and you can mix them freely:
Tell the AI what to change — "add two harder questions", "switch the theme to dark blue" and Mexty rewrites the block. Attach files or a knowledge base for context.
Edit properties directly — a structured form for everything the block supports (questions, theme colors, labels, behavior toggles, time limit, passing score), with an Ask AI button on every field.
Edit the code — toggle the in-browser code editor and change the React/TypeScript source for full control.
Plus: live desktop / tablet / mobile preview, a per-block AI Instruction that keeps every regeneration on-brand and on-level, My Variations, Version history with restore, and Share & Export (link, embed, export).
✨ Courses & the Course Editor — improved
Build multi-slide, chapter-organized courses that combine text, media, audio, video and interactive activities.
Generate Slides with AI, or add any of 10+ slide types: Content Template, Text Page, Image, Video, Audio / Podcast, Document, 3D Model, Google Doc, Embedded Content, plus polished Opening and Conclusion slides.
Chapters — group slides into sections; drag the handle to reorder slides and chapters.
Drop in any block from your Activities library, and set per-slide backgrounds (library, upload, or Generate with AI) with a blur slider for readability.
Control the journey — toggle free navigation or keep learners in sequence.
Publish, share & track — share link, embed, SCORM export for an external LMS, attendees, and a leaderboard.
🆕 Evaluations
Assemble assessment blocks into a single scored, graded experience — a test or skills check made of quizzes, hotspots, branching scenarios and more. Pick blocks from the catalog (Reusable Quiz, Hotspot, Decision Path, Exam Runner, Confidence Check, Categorize, Odd One Out…) or describe the whole thing in chat. Set an objective, sequence the blocks, preview on any device, then assign and track attendees.
🆕 Tools
Turn the static files you already have into interactive learning in a few clicks. Each tool is a guided, single-purpose flow that accepts PDFs, Office files, media or a URL (up to 50 MB):
PowerPoint → Interactive Slides and PDF → Interactive Slides
The output is a normal activity or course, so you can keep refining it in the editor.
🎓 LMS — deliver, organize & track learning
🆕 Learning Paths
Combine your courses and evaluations into a guided program on a visual map. Add sections, courses and evaluations, connect them with arrows to set the order, and drop lock gates (everything must be completed / one must be completed) to control what unlocks when. Set passing scores and deadlines per node, leave placeholders for Mexty to generate, and let the AI chat restructure the whole program or propose alternatives.
🆕 Knowledge Bases
A collection of your documents that the AI can read and cite, so its answers reflect your material — brand guidelines, policies, specs — instead of generic knowledge. Upload PDFs, Office files, images, audio or video; each file is indexed into searchable chunks. The key setting: mark each file as a Guideline (inspiration) or a Source of truth (followed strictly). Use a knowledge base from the chat toolbar in any editor, or attach it to an agent so it's always on.
🆕 Chat with Others
Direct messaging right inside your workspace. Creators, admins and learners can start conversations, search past threads, react, and attach the course or activity they're discussing so everyone has the context immediately.
🆕 Users & Roles
Manage who's in your workspace and exactly what they can do. Invite members by email against your seat count, build custom roles with fine-grained permission toggles across Authoring, LMS and Agents, and organize people into groups to assign learning to a whole team in one action.
🆕 Analytics
See how learners are really doing — per-learner completion, progress, time spent and scores; course engagement; and drop-off points that show exactly which slide or block to fix. Filter by course, evaluation or learning path, by date range, and by group or individual. (Professional and Enterprise plans.)
🆕 Usage & Billing
A transparent view of AI spend: KPI cards for credits spent (with the euro equivalent), active members and total events; a cumulative spend chart you can break down by model or feature; and a line-by-line event log down to tokens, credits and cost per action.
🤖 AI Agents — automate with agents & integrations
🆕 AI Agents
Build your own AI assistant with a fixed role, personality and toolset. Every agent is three things: a prompt (its instructions), connectors (the tools it may use, including the built-in Mexty service that lets it create courses and activities), and an optional schedule. Start from a Catalog template or from scratch, attach knowledge bases, test it live in chat, and use Attendees to control who can interact with it.
🆕 Connectors
How your agents reach the outside world. Connect a service over OAuth — Google Calendar, Gmail, Drive and more — and the agent gains concrete tools it can call, with fine-grained control over exactly which actions are allowed (e.g. read the calendar but never delete events). Point at your own custom MCP server to add anything else. Combine connectors and an agent can chain them: read the calendar → build an activity on Mexty → email it to the class.
🆕 Scheduled Tasks
Turn an agent loose on its own — one agent, one instruction, one cadence. It wakes up, does the job, and goes back to sleep: turn today's lesson into a game and email it every weekday at 7 AM, compile a weekly progress report, translate new content nightly, or publish a course at a set date. Each task keeps a small memory between runs so it never repeats itself, and you can Run now to check the result before trusting it to the schedule.
⚙️ Under the hood — a rebuilt engine
The whole backend was rewritten around a multi-agent architecture. Instead of one monolithic assistant, each content type has a specialist that understands its domain deeply:
Specialized agents for courses, programs (learning paths), blocks, evaluations, analytics and user/role management — plus a General router that reads your intent and either handles it directly or hands off to the right specialist with full context.
Custom agents that run your own instructions with whatever connectors and knowledge bases you grant them.
Bring your own model — agents run on Claude, GPT, Gemini or Mistral, your choice.
Parallel spawning — ask for "10 courses" or "refresh every slide" and Mexty fans the work out to background sub-agents that build in parallel without blocking you.
Programs as graphs — learning paths are now a true directed graph with branching, lock nodes and reconvergence, with automatic layout and cycle protection.
Pedagogical block-matching — empty activity slots are filled by matching reusable templates on pedagogical metadata (Bloom's level, interaction type, placement).
A first-class MCP server — Mexty's tools are exposed over the Model Context Protocol, so external clients (Claude Desktop, Cursor, your own apps) can create and edit Mexty content too, secured with OAuth.
Document RAG — knowledge-base files are chunked and embedded with vector search so generated content is genuinely grounded in your material.
Real-time collaboration for co-editing blocks and courses, and a credit system with clear per-action accounting.
In short
Mexty is now chat-first to create, agent-powered to automate, and rebuilt end-to-end to be faster and more reliable. The Block and Course editors you know are better than ever — and around them is an entirely new platform for building, delivering, tracking and automating learning.
We can't wait to see what you build. ✨
